Lydia Plath from Welcome To Plathville has surprised fans with her unpredicted behavior by straying away from what seems to be expected of her and doing what she wants to do. She is known for her compassionate, generous, and kind spirit, and has been the one to strive for peace in the middle of the chaos with her brother, Ethan, and their parents, Kim and Barry. During season 1, Lydia explained she is the one that her family relies on to keep the household running efficiently and to make sure everyone is taken care of. Lydia seemingly took on this role with no complaints and has been more than happy to help her family in any way possible.
When the show first aired, there were many things that the Plath children were not allowed to do. One of the most surprising on that long list was Kim and Barry's limit on technology. The children could not play video games, watch TV, or freely use computers and smartphones. Due to the strict rules, fans were surprised when the elder Plath siblings joined Instagram.
