The darker tone of this long-awaited season was largely due to the presence of Stranger Things' newest villain, Vecna, played by Bower. This half-human, half-monster is directly inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons lore that has been a prominent influence throughout Stranger Things thus far,with the gang eventually coming face-to-face with this terrifying being during the show's dramatic season finale. Equipped with long, sharp claws that allow him to enter the minds of his victims, Vecna's terrifying physical appearance and his bone-chilling voice have since become one of Stranger Things season 4's more memorable additions.

During his recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Bower took part in a brilliant segment that involved him reciting a variety of classic lines in his Vecna voice. Taking to the mic, Bower hilariously delivered lines from Titanic and Notting Hill in the notably deep and very villain-esque voice, before reading out some positive affirmations for Vecna.
