Major developments look to be coming to a close on the latest Watch Dogs game. In an announcement, Ubisoft confirms that the 5.6 update is the final update for Watch Dogs Legion.
The update, released last September, is now the last one on the books. The Watch Dogs Legion dev team says that reward tracks will continue to roll out through the Online Mode. The current season, Rebels, ran until Jan. 22, followed by the fifth season Stripes. After season 5 is finished, seasons 3 through 5 will cycle, letting players hop back in and get any rewards they missed the first go-around.

“The game has grown by leaps and bounds, with a ton of content to explore, from a sprawling near future city to an action-packed Online Mode. Watch Dogs Legion was a pretty interesting twist on the open-world hacker adventure. Its main draw was the be-anybody system. Foregoing a traditional party or protagonist, you instead just hopped around recruitable NPCs from the world. Despite the novelty, though, it did have some parts that seemed to have trouble clicking together.
With development seemingly retroactively coming to an end, it does leave me curious what the future of Watch Dogs will be. Assassin’s Creed is working on its next steps with Infinity, a reportedly live service model that matches up with Ubisoft’s many other live service options.
