Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 2 is now live, introducing a range of new content, bug fixes and weapon adjustments for the battle royale game.
To coincide with the new season’s arrival, developer Raven Software has released official patch notes detailing all the changes included in the update, which we’ve also republished below.
New Warzone gameplay features include Nebula V ammo and bombs, which emit poison gas, and portable decontamination stations that provide refuge from them.
Fresh weapons include the KG M40 Assault Rifle and the Whitley LMG.
New locations include Chemical Factory and the underground Chemical Weapon Research Labs. These points of interest are patrolled by computer-controlled Axis soldiers, who can also be found around the island in vehicles and give up powerful rewards upon death.
Players have new ways of getting around Caldera too. Redeploy Balloons enable users to reposition themselves tactically, while Bomber Planes are armoured squad vehicles capable of leveling infantry, vehicles and Loadout Drops.
The launch of Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 was delayed by 12 days due to various issues with the games and 2019’s Modern Warfare.
Today’s update includes fixes for a number of collision issues, crashes across platforms, problems with console texture streaming, inconsistent voice chat connectivity, corrupted graphics, invisible Operator skins and more.
An Operator skin modelled after rapper Snoop Dogg is seemingly coming to Warzone, according to recently leaked concept art.
Last week, Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare studio Infinity Ward is leading the development of 2022’s premium Call of Duty game and “Warzone experiences”.
