After more than a year Warcraft 3: Reforged is going to be receiving an update. Patch 1.33.0 will be adding Ranked Gameplay, Player Profiles, and Leaderboards as well as a few other features.
Warcraft 3: Reforged is the long awaited remaster of Blizzard's RTS classic, Warcraft 3. The remaster launched on January 28, 2020 filled with so many bugs, missing content, and other issues that Blizzard went as far as offering full refunds for Warcraft 3: Reforged.
Fans Aren't Happy With Warcraft 3: Reforged
The patch update is going to be adding several features into Warcraft 3: Reforged. Ranked gameplay based on MMR (match-making rating) will be added, with MMR going to be based on each unique race. Players will be able to customize their own «Player Profile» as well as view the profiles of other players. Leaderboards will also be available for players to compare how they fare against each other. Patch 1.33.0 is currently available on the Warcraft 3: Reforged PTR.
The long overdue update to Warcraft 3: Reforged is bringing Ranked Gameplay and Leaderboards to the game, features which are considered standard to online gameplay. An MMR based on each unique race is definitely an interesting feature. Gaining the ability to climb ranks separately based on each unique race will be a welcome addition to players who like the specific gameplay style and tools of each unique race. There is no information on whether the player profiles with be synced with their Battle.net accounts.
