If you’re still looking for a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X, Walmart seems to be gearing up for a Thursday restock. However, the sales will only be available for Walmart+ members.
The retailer tipped off the restock through a Walmart+ "early access" website. The page shows the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be among the items exclusively available to paying members of the perks program.
The restock is scheduled for Feb. 24 at at 12 p.m. EST/9 a.m. PT. Use the links below to place an order once the time arrives:
PlayStation 5 disc-edition for $499.99
Xbox Series X for $499.99
If you don’t have a Walmart+ membership, it costs $12.95 a month or $98 a year. So paying for a one-month subscription might be worthwhile if it finally helps you obtain one of the consoles.
If you do subscribe, avoid getting the 30-day free trial for Walmart+, since the retailer says the console restock won't be available to trial members.
To circumvent the trial period when registering for a Walmart+ membership, click the "Join Walmart+" link on the Walmart+ “early access” website. The next page should then display a button to start a 30-day trial for the perks program. Skip that and scroll down to Early access, where you can click Start paid membership. You’ll be taken to a checkout page, where you can begin paying for a Walmart+ membership immediately.
If you participate in tomorrow’s restock, make sure you place your order as soon as possible once the time arrives. Any delay and you’ll likely lose your chance to score a console. We also recommend you try placing the order using both a smartphone and desktop browser.
