Vivo X Note first look is here! Vivo is holding a launch event on April 11 in China wherein it will unveil its first folding phone, the Vivo X Fold alongside its first tablet, the Vivo Pad. But that’s now all! Vivo will also do conventional feature-packed flagships and unveil the successor to its Vivo X70 Pro+ in the form of the Vivo X Note. Yes, new nomenclature for a new year! And the first teaser reveals how the phone will look.

The rear of the phone has four camera sensors arranged in a new circular camera island surrounded by a mega blacked-out patch, carrying the usual Zeiss branding. That’s not the interesting bit though, as the Vivo X Note retains its periscopic camera, which could suggest Vivo taking the fight to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Vivo X Note also happens to get one new feature previously unseen in other phones. The press render reveals a new slider, which could be used to toggle between slant and sound modes. We have seen the slider previously on OnePlus devices and Vivo is now the second brand to do it. Note that iPhones have a slider key for switching between Silent and Sound modes.
Other than that, the Vivo X Note also appears to have a curved edge display, a small punch-hole cutout on top of the display. No under-display camera technology yet on Vivo’s full blown flagship.
Rumours have previously talked about the Vivo X Note relying on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which is already powering the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, and iQOO 9 Pro. The phone is said to get up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The display will measure 7-inches and have a Quad HD+ AMOLED display
