Some fans consider the game the best the series has ever been and has yet to be topped. The game has received a number of ports to other Nintendo consoles over the years, including the GameCube, 3DS, and the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. Fans, however, have also tried to bring the game to other systems, along with their own touches and improvements.
Some of these fan-made projects include porting the game as a regular PC port and remaking Ocarina of Time within Unreal Engine 5, which all have their own visual improvements. These efforts by fans show how much love the game still gets almost 25 years later, with one, in particular, showing what the game could look like on the Steam Deck, a portable PC by Valve similar to Nintendo's own Switch system.
