The vampire themed survival game V Rising has managed to move more than half a million copies within its first week on the market. The developer behind the game, Stunlock Studios, released V Rising into Early Access on May 17, 2022. Players have been raving about the title ever since.
According to Stunlock Studios, well over 500,000 people have purchased V Rising, causing the game to rocket right up to the top of the charts on Steam. The title currently has a rating of Very Positive on the platform with over 8,000 reviews.

The game is described as a “vampire survival experience.” V Rising features a massive open world, intricate survival systems, base building, and crafting mechanics. The title has a singleplayer campaign and cooperative mode as well as both PvP and PvE multiplayer.
“Awaken as a vampire,” the game description reads. “Hunt for blood in nearby settlements to regain your strength and evade the scorching sun to survive. Raise your castle and thrive in an ever changing open world full of mystery. Gain allies online and conquer the land of the living.”
V Rising is currently sitting at more than 100,000 concurrent players on Steam, a figure which beats Babylon’s Fall by a hefty margin, despite the game being made by a significantly bigger developer, Square Enix. Babylon’s Fall dropped to only a single concurrent player on Steam earlier this month.
