Facebook is testing a new system that will let users create up to five different profiles linked to the same account, a move that industry watchers have classified as a desperate attempt to retain its audience. Facebook has lately seen user interest dwindle and now faces stiff competition from rivals. In the past few years, Snapchat and TikTok have edged out Facebook by courting the next generation of social media users.
