Unforeseen Incidents takes the form of a traditional adventure game, with the player needing to collect items from around the world to solve a variety of logic puzzles in order to progress. Within the game world, a deadly disease has been spreading across the USA, and it falls upon an unsuspecting handyman to try and find a way to curb its growth. Along the way, they will uncover the shocking truth of the disease's origin.

Immediately Unforeseen Incidents grabs the player's attention thanks to its distinctive art style. Its character models and locations are unique and hand-painted, leaving the game feeling like a moving, talking comic book. It sets a unique tone to the whole experience, and brings in charm alongside its old-fashioned point and click adventure gameplay; it's what your brain thought Broken Sword looked like twenty years ago.
