RuneScape developer Jagex has announced that it’s launching two tabletop games based on the long-running MMO later this year. They’re being created by Steamforged Games.
Steamforged is no stranger to videogame adaptations, having already made games based on the Resident Evil series, Horizon Zero Dawn and Monster Hunter World.
The first of the two games will be a board game that lets one to five players adventure around Gielinor. There’ll be fights, crafting, levelling up and more.
The other game will take the shape of a core TTRPG (table-top RPG) rulebook that will allow players to create their own adventures in the RuneScape universe. It’ll be a hardback, lavishly illustrated, with all the rules you need to build your own RS escapades.
The board game will launch on Kickstarter later in the year, while the TTRPG rulebook will head straight to stores when it’s released. You can get some more information about both of them at the Steamforged website by clicking here.
