Gamescom Opening Night Live will be underway in just a handful of hours, with at least 35 games being shown across the two-hour showcase. However, the booths are up and the event in Cologne, Germany is preparing to show off much more. It seems several booths are already up, and images online have shared a few things ahead of the major event.
In fact, it seems Xbox Game Pass is going to be another star of the showcase. Xbox had plans for Gamescom, of course, but some of the images that have surfaced online show the Game Pass logo next to a couple of games. Without additional context, it should be noted that some things could be unclear (such as what exact platforms it'll appear on and when), but it seems two new games have been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass Adds 2 New Games, Including Day One Release
The first isLies of P,a Soulslike game based on the story of Pinocchio, with the logo appearing alongside the game title online. It's been compared toBloodborne because of its unique approach to setting, among the varied Soulslike genre, but as interesting is its Lie system that will influence the game's story. It's perhaps one of the most exciting Souslikes on the horizon, and to see that coming to Xbox Game Pass doubles down on that. Lies of P is expected to get a trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live, so fans can expect to learn more about its Game Pass release there, and perhaps even a release date.
The second game with a Game Pass banner at Gamescom is an arcade game called You Suck at Parking. It features 100 levels of arcade racing where the ultimate goal is parking in outrageous scenarios. Players will also be able to collect cars, learn new mechanics, complete challenges, and customize their vehicles.
