Twitter Circle is reportedly expanding to more users.
Android Police reports(Opens in a new window) that the feature, which allows people to share tweets with a specific group of people rather than Twitter as a whole, has recently started to become available to more users via a pop-up notification encouraging them to send a tweet meant specifically for their Circle.
Twitter officially started testing Circle on May 3, but the company says in a support article(Opens in a new window) that the feature "is in its early stages right now, and only a limited number of people globally can create Twitter Circle Tweets." It seems that exclusive group of Circle-ready users is growing.
Android Police notes that Twitter Circle is pretty similar to the Close Friends feature available on Instagram. (To say nothing of the now-defunct Google+ social network that made sharing posts to specific groups of people a core part of its identity.)
Twitter didn't immediately respond to a request for comment regarding Circle's expansion.
