Popular Twitch streamers get banned from time to time as the result of disobeying the platform's terms of service, and Twitch occasionally reverses its bans through an appeals process. Twitch streamer Dimitri «GreekGodx» Antonatos was recently banned but has subsequently been unbanned rather than having to fulfill the terms of the ban.
GreekGodx has maintained a strong following on Twitch since the platform's early days and has reached a following of over one million despite taking a lengthy break to lose weight before returning in 2020. During a June 28 livestream, GreekGodx did and said enough questionable things to receive a ban from Twitch like other streamers have in the past. What specifically caused GreekGodx's ban has been in contention since then, but because he has been unbanned, Twitch has clearly reevaluated the situation which would have seen GreekGodx banned for seven days.
Twitch Bans and Unbans Asmongold
According to StreamerBans' Twitter, GreekGodx was banned from Twitch for a total of 3 days, 4 minutes, and 16 seconds as of the lifting of the punishment. GreekGodx claims that the Twitch ban was due to some problematic twerking on stream, which Twitch forbids, but members of the community have evaluated things he said during the stream and boiled it down to sexist comments about other streamers. The popular Twitch streamer is already back on the platform and has been just chatting with his community since, something that he regularly does when livestreaming.
