Twitch has been busy as of late with handing out bans to major players on its platform, but many were left confused when AmazonMusicBR, the official Amazon Music channel in Brazil, was hit with a ban of its own. In the same week that controversial streamer Sliker was delivered a permanent Twitch ban, AmazonMusicBR found itself offline for a brief period of time.
AmazonMusicBR has a following of over 33,000 on Twitch, streaming a variety of different shows designed to introduce new music to the Brazilian audience in their native tongue of Portuguese. The unfortunate slip-up left them unplugged from the platform for 15 minutes before the responsible party realized their mistake and promptly released them from the ban.

On February 11, regular users looking forward to checking out the popular Twitch channel were met with the black screen indicating that AmazonMusicBR was temporarily unavailable due to a violation of the platform's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. They wouldn't have to wait long before the channel was revived after a total of 15 minutes and 38 seconds, but little explanation was given as to why the mistake was made, leading onlookers to crack jokes about the situation. While bans are quite common on the platform, many have criticized Twitch for their method of banning members, accusing the powers that be of holding bias and playing favorites.
