Creative Assembly has confirmed that it is working on a new action game.
In said the game is in development at Creative Assembly Sofia and will “sit alongside Total War, Hyenas and the studio’s other yet-to-be-announced project”.
The title is seemingly in early development, as Creative Assembly said there will be “a significant wait before further details are revealed”.
“The team are recruiting across all disciplines, prioritising candidates with experience working on third-person titles using the Unreal 5 engine,” reads the announcement. “Current priorities include game design, programming, technical art and animation.”
Last week, the first gameplay footage of Creative Assembly’s recently revealed Hyenas leaked online via a closed alpha test.
The studio’s long-anticipated shooter project was announced in June, when the Sega studio described it as a “multiplayer, multi-team robbery game”.
It sees five teams of three battle AI and each other to steal loot from vast spaceships with zero-g sections.
Hyenas is full of pop culture references including nods to not just classic Sega franchises, but other games such as Fall Guys and League of Legends too.
The game is scheduled to release for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC in 2023.
