Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann and movie star Tom Holland have discussed the upcoming Uncharted movie, which opens in theaters on February 18. In an interview published on social media, Holland said one of the biggest challenges in making the movie was making it feel heartfelt.
«When we were making it into a film, the game is already so cinematic. We had a base layer for how we wanted the film to look. The hardest thing to try to recreate was the heart of the games,» he said.

Making The Uncharted Movie Was A Dream Come True for Director
Ruben Fleischer, director of Uncharted, says making the film was a dream come true. Uncharted is based on Sony's popular video game franchise, which started in 2007 with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The games put players into the shoes of Nathan Drake, a globe-trotting treasure hunter. The film adaptation of Uncharted sees Tom Holland stepping into the role of Drake alongside fellow actors Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, and Antonio Banderas. Unfortunately, the film has suffered numerous delays over the years, even seeing Wahlberg shift from the role of Drake to that of his mentor, Sully. Various directors, including David O. Russell, were also attached to the film before Fleischer signed on.
