HBO has released the trailer for the upcoming science-fiction series The Time Traveler's Wife. Based on the 2003 Audrey Niffenegger book of the same name, the series will focus on the relationship between a woman and her husband, who suffers from a condition that causes him to travel through time unpredictably. The book was previously adapted into a 2008 film called The Time Traveler's Wife and starred Rachel McAdams as the lead with Eric Bana, her time-traveling husband.
Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie plays the starring role of Clare Abshire in the upcoming version of The Time Traveler's Wife. Divergent star Theo James will star as her husband Henry DeTamble, the one afflicted with a genetic disorder that pushes and pulls him through moments in time. Rounding out the cast are Utopia's Desmin Borges as the family friend Gomez, Natasha Lopez, who has been cast as Clare's best friend Charisse, and Midnight Mass' Kate Seigel, who will take the role of Henry's mother, Annette DeTamble. The first episode's director has been announced as David Nutter, whose previous credits include Band of Brothers, Lost in Space (2018), and most recently, Game of Thrones. The show will be executive produced by Doctor Who's Steven Moffat.
