Fisker Inc. is an electric vehicle company and its CEO appears to have quit Twitter shortly after Tesla's Elon Musk agreed a deal to purchase the micro-blogging platform. Since Musk first made the offer to buy Twitter, there has been immense debate over what a platform under the popular tech figure would look like. The idea had even led to a number of individuals suggesting they may leave Twitter if Musk took over.
Any concerns that some may have had before became far more of a reality on Monday when Twitter confirmed that Musk was indeed acquiring the company. The announcement not only confirmed a deal had been agreed, but also that Musk was wholly taking over and at the price first suggested during Musk's initial bid. Musk has since taken the opportunity to reiterate some of the changes that users can expect, including a refocusing on what free speech means on Twitter.

The CEO of Fisker appears to be one of the first high-profile individuals to decide a Musk-owned Twitter is not for them, with Henrik Fisker’s account having been deleted soon after the news was announced. According to Bloomberg, Fisker decided to move to Instagram and advised existing Twitter followers in a final Tweet to follow his Instagram account for future updates. At present, the official Fisker Inc. Twitter account is still live and it remains to be seen if that will also be deleted in the future.
Although Fisker did not specify the reason for leaving Twitter before closing down his account, the CEO has since made his feelings clear. In comments to Forbes, Fisker raised the concern of free speech being “actively managed or controlled by a competitor.” In further explaining the move, Fisker
