A gamer replaced the sound effects in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with the ones from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 comes out next month on October 28, and Activision had recently held a beta event for the game. It was only available to PlayStation users in the beginning, before opening up to all gamers across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the highest-rated games in the series, and many consider it to be one of the best games in the franchise. It was a follow-up to the immensely popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which also received critical acclaim upon its release. Both of these games have been remastered for modern platforms, although the multiplayer portion is absent from Modern Warfare 2’s re-release. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Beta Was Biggest in Series History
A YouTuber named Ghosts619 combines the gameplay from the Modern Warfare 2 beta and the sound effects from the 2009 game. The video begins with an AC-130 killstreak and shows off a bit of gameplay from the Domination mode. Ghosts619 then introduces the video, explaining that footsteps, killstreaks, gun sounds, music, and other ambient sounds have all been replaced by their counterpart from the original Modern Warfare 2. It took Ghosts619 four days to complete the video and he gives users a glimpse at the amount of work that went into making it.
