Every year, during Children's Week, Horde players have the opportunity to take a Blood Elf orphan named Salandria out on some adventures. One quest that stands out involves taking her to the Caverns of Time, where an interaction with a Bronze Dragon hints at something quite dark in the Blood Elf child's future. With Dragonflight on its way, and Salandria showing up in 9.2.5 quests, we have reason to believe that we will soon finally learn more.
PersonalityLittle Salandria is a spirited child who isn't easily intimidated by scary stories or even dangerous places. One of the things she asks you to do is take her to see the Dark Portal — and when you're there, she finds it fascinating rather than frightening.
The grown-ups are always trying to tell us scary stories about it and how it's so dangerous, with lots of demons, and stuff. <Salandria rolls her eyes.> The stories don't even come close to how cool this place is. It's amazing!Throughout her quests, Salandria speaks animatedly about her big dreams for the future. While she struggles to settle on exactly what she wants to be when she grows up, there is a common theme — she wants power.
One day soon, I'm going to be a powerful mage, or maybe a warlock. I'm gonna have to learn about some of the elemental forces! I'm not sure what I want to be. Maybe a mage or a warlock, or a Blood Knight, like I said before? Or maybe… A rock star!!Even her desire to become a rock star, while cute, is still subtly linked to her taste for power.
Did you see that? They were cheering for me!!! I felt the power and the energy! I am going to be a rock star when I grow up!But the most interesting thing happens when the player takes Salandria to visit the Caverns of Time.
