Chris Evans, who played the role of Marvel's Captain America, continues to mourn his old iPhone 6 weeks after switching to a newer iPhone 12 Pro. News of Evans moving on to a new iPhone broke out on the internet after he posted a “RIP iPhone 6S” post on Instagram almost a month ago. Ever since then, Evans has talked about missing his old iPhone is several interviews and that streak of mourning the old phone continues. In a new interview with Hits Radio along with his co-star Ana De Armas, Evans once again opens up about his iPhone 6S.
When asked how he feels about letting go his old iPhone 6S, Evans goes on to say that he prefers to stay put on a phone for as long as possible. He also went on to say that despite moving to a newer iPhone 12 Pro, Evans keeps his old iPhone along with all the older mobile phones he had used previously; he even says he keeps his Motorola Sidekick too. At the same time, Evans says that iPhone 6S was just a perfect phone for him and there was no need to let it go.
Two of the main reasons Evans can't get over the iPhone 6S are its dimensions and the Home button. He says that the new iPhone he uses hurts his pinky finger while using single handedly, and he misses the Home button. The new iPhone 12 Pro he uses now relies entirely on gestures instead of a Home button. And, the iPhone 12 Pro is much heavier than the iPhone 6S it replaced.
The iPhone 6S was one of the favourite models for Apple fans over the years for some big reasons. This was the last iPhone to have a physical Home button, and the last iPhone to have a 3.5mm headphone jack. iPhone 7 onwards, Apple used haptics to imitate a touch based Home button, and even ditched the headphone jack.
