It has only been mere hours since God of War launched on PC - but it looks like that was enough time for modders to take over. Several mods for the game have already appeared on Nexus mods, and offer changes in graphics and other minor tweaks for the long-awaited PlayStation port.
In less than 24 hours, several mods have appeared for God of War's PC release and the number continues to grow. While most of them are simple reshades that don't contain any dramatic visual changes, these mods do allow you to experience the game with tweaked lighting and color settings.

For example, one such mod, called Mythology ReShade, gives God of War a more cinematic feeling with prevailing red and blue undertones, at least judging from the screenshots. Another one, Clear Fantasy ReShade, aims to make the visuals crisper and contrast more, with light bloom and raised vibrancy that focuses on smoothing over the overall look of the game. Some available mods even add stronger lighting effects, extra details, and post-processing effects.
The best thing about these reshades is that they usually have a minimal impact on the game's overall performance, so most PCs should be fine when messing around with them. They're also much easier to install than some of the more complicated mods, which should let you quickly restore the vanilla version if you like.
Besides graphical tweaks, some modders have also shared New Game Plus save files from PS4, allowing you to begin your playthrough right away with plenty of enhanced gear, pumped-up armor sets, and special combat abilities for both Kratos and Atreus.
