Supermassive Games has released The Quarry to be another interactive horror game along the lines ofUntil Dawn and The Dark Pictures anthology. As with previous chapters, The Quarryhides tarot cards, historical clues, and evidence all throughout this level.
Chapter 9 focuses on Laura and Ryan's survival against the Hackett family. It also contains the most collectibles out of all The Quarry chapters, so it is recommended to make manual backup saves of The Quarry in case players miss any of them.
Chapter 9 has the additional limitation of keeping The Quarry's counselors alive, but there are enough opportunities to grab all the collectibles before any are missed. In total, there are four Tarot cards, four clues, and one evidence opportunity.
After some tense interactions with the Hackett family and their fates left in the player's hands, Ryan will attempt to hide in the house from the big hunter, ending up in a dingy bedroom. Once he is controllable, head to the right side of the bedroom for the Evidence #9 opportunity: Kaylee Hackett's letter.
These are the only two collectibles Ryan can grab, but when he checks the bedroom door, a hiding sequence will begin. Following a Quick-Time event sequence where Ryan attempts to escape, gameplay will soon transition to Laura.
Unlike the previous section, Laura can start in two separate locations (depending on whether she evaded the Hacketts or not.) Either way, the collectibles are accessible, but if Laura was shot/subdued, it will take a bit longer for her to start collecting the items.
The first clue can be grabbed as soon as Laura ends up in a room with a piano and decorated with blue wallpaper. The Hackett History Clue #15 will be on top of a dresser in front of the stairs,
