Biomass is a measurement mechanic in The Planet Crafter that indicates how much biological life is present on the player's planet. Furthermore, the survivor protagonist will need to increase their Biomass levels to unlock more facilities, higher-tier production, and decorative features, such as vegetation, which ultimately contributes to the Terraformation Index. However, players will first need to reach a specific stage in development before Biomass becomes available.
