The Munsters star Butch Patrick says that the new reboot of the same name will be over two and a half hours long. Patrick starred in the original The Munsters from 1964 to 1966 and is rumored to have a role in the new film. The Munsters reboot will be directed by horror director Rob Zombie and will star frequent Zombie collaborators Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips, and Daniel Roebuck.
The Munsters follows the titular Munsters, a family of benign monsters including vampires and Frankenstein's monster, that satirizes the idea of the American nuclear family. Filming began in Budapest, Hungary with the producers constructing a replica of the iconic Munster mansion for filming. Zombie has confirmed that The Munsterswill be rated PG to replicate the tone of the original series, in contrast to all of Zombie's previous films that carried R-ratings for their high amounts of gory violence. Other than that, little has been revealed about the upcoming reboot, but now the purported runtime may have just been unveiled.
