A Lego set based on The Great Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda will be released in September and contain four figures, it’s claimed.
That’s according to several Lego blogs, including Bricktastic, which has a track record of sharing information about upcoming Lego sets before they are officially announced.
According to the new report, the set will include two different designs for the tree, one based on The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and another based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The Ocarina of Time design will have green leaves, while the Breath of the Wild design will have mainly pink leaves. It’s claimed that if owners want to change the design, the tree will have to be completely rebuilt.
As previously reported, the set will come with 2,500 pieces. It’s now claimed that the set will be released on September 1, and it will cost €300.
Minifigures depicting Classic Link, Young Link, Breath of the Wild Link and Breath of the Wild Zelda will be included, as well as two new pieces, depicting the Hylian Shield and the Ocarina.
A work-in-progress image of The Great Deku tree Lego set from an internal documentwas posted online last year. This document, intended only for specific retail partners to judge their interest in potential upcoming sets, suggested that the set would come with Link, Zelda, and a large display stand for the tree.
This set would be the latest in a consistent line of Lego and Nintendo crossovers. Lego has produced dozens of Mario-themed sets, and several larger Nintendo-themed sets such as the Lego Nintendo Entertainment System.
Earlier this year, it released Lego Animal Crossing sets. These sets were so popular that most Lego stores in the UK sold out of the playsets on the first day of release.
