The Boys season 3 trailer teases new supes, new conflicts, and plenty of bloody action. Based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson, The Boys is a more mature and raunchy take on the superhero genre, featuring more sex, violence, and profanity than is usually the case for it. The premise focuses on an underground group of humans trying to take down corrupt superheroes who abuse their power, using everything they can despite most of them not having powers themselves.
The show stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, and Tomer Capon as part of the titular vigilante group. Anthony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, and Dominique McElligott appear as part of The Seven, the most powerful superhero group on the planet run by Vought International, a corporation that not only helps create superheroes, but covers up their heinous deeds, while promoting them as celebrities. Joining The Boys season 3 is Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Laurie Holden as Crimson Countess, Langston Kerman as Eagle the Archer, Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Miles Gaston Villanueva as Supersonic, and Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk.
