The Boys Twitter account responds to the official drop of the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, after having previously demanded its release. Amazon Prime's hit series The Boys will return this summer, with its recent teaser showcasing a season 3 that looks set to be just as chaotic as its predecessors. Based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys puts a somewhat dystopian spin on the superhero genre. Karl Urban stars as Billy Butcher, a man hell-bent on bringing down the corrupt organisation, Vought Industries, who are responsible for the creation of a number of super-powered beings, otherwise known as «Supes.» The Boys also sees Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, and Erin Moriarty star, with season 3 set to introduce Jensen Ackles to its line-up as Solider Boy.
With The Boys season 3 and Thor: Love and Thunder slated for a summer release, one might have expected the two superhero projects' promotional endeavours to run somewhat concurrently. However, until recently, Thor: Love and Thunder had been without a trailer, or even a poster, with just over two months to go until the upcoming MCU instalment is set to hit theatres. With Taika Waititi returning to direct Love and Thunder, many were delighted when the recent release of The Boys season 3 teaser received a very excited response from Waititi, prompting The Boys' Twitter account to bargain with the director, asking "A trailer for a trailer?" Now, with the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer having recently dropped with little to no warning, The Boys twitter has responded.
