20th Century's The Bob's Burgers Movieoffers an entertaining summer adventure but its ending leaves some important details in need of explanation. The animated musical comedy is a theatrical spinoff of the animated sitcom, Bob's Burgers, and definitely shows how The Bob's Burgers Movie lives up to its namesake. Even after multiple COVID-19 delays that pushed its release almost two years later than originally planned, the movie has premiered to positive reception from both critics and casual audiences.
When a sinkhole swallows up the sidewalk and road in front of the Belchers' restaurant, the family begins to worry they will not have enough business to make a loan payment to the bank. Later that night, Louise descends into the sinkhole to prove herself brave after a girl at school makes fun of her pink rabbit ears and calls her a baby. Louise finds a skeleton at the bottom of the sinkhole and the ensuing murder investigation makes business at the restaurant nonexistent. The skeleton turns out to be Wonder Wharf employee Cotton Candy Bob and Wonder Wharf owner, Kevin Kline's Calvin Fischoeder, is arrested for the murder. Mr. Fischoeder also happens to be the Belchers' wealthy landlord and Louise attempts to clear his name in order to have Mr. Fischoeder help the Belchers with their bank loan repayment. Meanwhile, Teddy (Larry Murphy) and the adult Belchers prepare a Bob's Burgers food cart to sell burgers with, which they bring over to the Wonder Wharf.
