Announcements and reveals galore today, including the Nintendo Direct which showcased a bevvy of exciting titles coming later this year. We also got a closer look at The Wolf Among Us 2, as well as the unfortunate news that Dark Souls servers on PC will remain turned off until the launch of Elden Ring. More details below.
The latest Nintendo Direct brought with it a bunch of exciting announcements, one of which is that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be getting some DLC in the form of almost 50 new tracks coming to the game throughout the course of 2022. These tracks will be remastered versions of other Mario Kart tracks from the rest of the series and will be available via the Booster Course Pass DLC which launches this March. Other notable announcements include the reveal of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 as well as the reveal of a remaster of Chrono Cross.
Bigby Wolf is back and this time he's going through anger management classes. Telltale finally gave us an idea of what The Wolf Among Us Season 2 is all about today, showing off a small portion of the game which saw Bigby fighting a bunch of characters from The Wizard of Oz. Just like with Telltale's previous games, The Wolf Among Us 2 will launch episodically with all five episodes expected to drop throughout 2023.
On the topic of long-awaited returns, animated sci-fi series Futurama will return in 2023 and has most of the original cast and producers in tow. Premiering on Hulu next year, this new series of Futurama will last for 20 episodes and starts production this month. However, one notable absentee is John DiMaggio, the original voice actor of Bender. DiMaggio isn't currently attached to the project, but producers are allegedly looking to get him on board.
