It's been a bit of an up and down day today, with a mixture of exciting and disappointing announcements including the news that the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 has been delayed further into the year as well as the surprising news that Disney is shutting down Club Penguin Rewritten after it was seized by the police. However, we did get the announcement of a brand new expansion for No Man's Sky, and a change in policy at Nintendo and Sony that might stop you from getting burned by auto-renewal. Arguably the biggest story of the day was the delay of The Witcher 3's next-gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X. CD Projekt announced the delay earlier today via the official Witcher Twitter account, explaining that development of the update has been moved in-house and that it has been postponed "until further notice." Unfortunately, a potential release window was not disclosed, so it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer before we get to see Geralt in 4K on consoles.
Hello Games has announced a new expansion for No Man's Sky which is set to completely revamp the game's space combat systems. The Outlaws update - which is available to download right now - brings with it a host of new changes including improved space combat, rebalanced weapons, and the ability to create your own fighter squadrons. This new update will also let you live out your wildest space pirate fantasies as you can now visit Outlaw bases scattered across the galaxy to help take down frigates.
