The Batman 4K, Blu-ray and DVD is releasing this May and will include a featurette on Colin Farrell's Penguin transformation. The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman with a supporting cast that includes Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Ferrell as Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred. The Batman has been a critical and commercial success for WB thus far, pulling in $735 million worldwide thus far, as it prepares to make its home video and streaming debut.
After being delayed multiple times in 2021 due COVID-related issues,The Batman finally made its debut last month, just as WB shook up their entire slate of films. The film has still been a success, however, and was just announced to make its debut on HBO Max next week on April 18th, exclusively on the streamer, as well as for sale on digital. The Batman's early streaming release marks a first for WB, which traditionally would have the movie in theaters for a longer period, as well as a longer wait for Blu-ray/DVD.

Today, it was announced that The Batman would debut on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on May 24th, roughly a month and a half after debuting in theaters. WB released details on the various features for each format with a number of notable and interesting items, including a featurette on Colin Ferrell's transformation into The Penguin. Additional disc features include deleted scenes (including The Joker scene) with director commentary, as well as numerous focus pieces on the different aspects of the film, including the Batmobile, the car chase, the wingsuit, Catwoman, and more.
