The sudden Garena Free Fire ban in India has left fans disheartened. What is more, it happened on Valentine’s Day! Yes, there was no love to spare for the very popular Garena Free Fire game on this special occasion! The government slapped a ban on 54 Chinese apps on Monday, and one of them was Garena Free Fire. Government cited national security concerns as the reason behind the move. As a result, Garena Free Fire got removed from Android’s Play Store and Apple App Store. That means you won’t be able to download the battle royale game from these app stores. But for relief, there is one game that escaped the government's Chinese app ban - Garena Free Fire Max, the higher version of the Free Fire that got banned, is still available to download on Google Play Store. However, Apple decided to remove both versions of Garena Free Fire from its App Store. There isn’t much difference between the duo, but Garena Free Fire Max offers better graphics than the original one. Of course, because it consumes resources at a much higher level, which even goes up to 1.5GB, it may not suit all devices. Garena Free Fire used to take 500-700MB storage. However, as mentioned, Garena Free Fire Max offers better graphics and it is a good option now that you cannot really play Garena Free Fire.
