Two goofball characters introduced in the classic Super Friends animated series once found themselves inducted as official members of the Teen Titans in DC Comics. Unfortunately, their time was cut short in one of the grizzliest attacks on the team of young heroes.
Heroes-in-training Wendy Harris and Marvin White were original creations that were added to the cast of the Super Friends to give young viewers characters to identify with. Joined by their canine companion, Wonder Dog, the duo assisted the Super Friends while learning the ropes of heroism. However, their comedic hijinks never caught on with audiences and Wendy and Marvin were replaced with the much more popular Wonder Twins. Aside from brief references in other mediums, Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog were largely left behind as relics of a more innocent time.

Even Wonder Dog was brought in and joined his human pals in Teen Titans #62 by Sean McKeever and Eddy Barrows. However, things took a severely dark turn when Wendy walks in on him in a mutated hellhound form, having just attacked Marvin. Wendy tries to take shelter and alert her friends, but to no avail. Though Wendy survives Wonder Dog's attempt on her life, she was left paralyzed from the waist down, while Marvin perished from his injuries.
