Target has launched a ‘buy 2 get 1 free’ promotion on a range of products including video games.
Customers can mix and match across different product categories including video games, movies, activity kits, books, board games and puzzles.
Target is billing the promotion, which runs until November 12, as one of its early Black Friday deals (the annual shopping event doesn’t actually take place until November 25).
When VGC checked on Monday, there were 683 video games available in the promotion, including the current and last-gen versions of some of this year’s biggest titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Elden Ring, FIFA 23 and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Other notable games available in the deal include Madden NFL 23, Gotham Knights, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.
Nintendo of America recently announced its first Black Friday deals, including a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe hardware bundle and several software promotions.
Call of Duty publisher Activision claimed on Monday that Modern Warfare 2 continues to be the fastest-selling entry in the long-running shooter series.
Having topped $800 million in sales in its first three days of availability, Modern Warfare 2 crossed the $1 billion mark in 10 days.
In doing so it surpassed the record previously held by 2012’s Black Ops 2, which took 15 days to reach $1 billion in sales.
