Today's Capcom showcase at the Tokyo Game Show revealed more Street Fighter 6 news. First we saw Ken, Blanka, E. Honda, and Dhalsim in action, and then game director Takayuki Nakayama introduced us to the new Extreme Battle mode where players can change the normal rules of a Street Fighter match to include things like bombs, bulls, and Metalls from Mega Man.
But what really got us hooked was Street Fighter 6's new World Tour mode, which allows players to create their own custom characters. This isn't just your online avatar, either; you'll take your character out into Street Fighter 6's open world to engage in street brawls with other characters, or sometimes many other characters.

Street Fighter 6's avatar creation system looks to be pretty extensive. There are sliders for facial features, height, weight, and limb size, as well as tons of options for skin tones, hairstyles, and more. The game uses a triangular build system similar to Saints Rows' Boss Creator to set your overall shape, and then you can customize to be almost anything you want.
On top of that, there are also plenty of costume options too. Tops, bottoms, hats, shoes--you can look like anything you want. Capcom showed off several custom avatars that looked like Roman gladiators, sailors, or even robots. Judging from the tabs on the customization screen, you can also pick your own special moves. Perhaps you can even mix and match moves from several Street Fighter characters, letting you create your ultimate fighter.
Once your character is created, you can use those special moves to explore Street Fighter 6's open world. Shoryuken your way onto rooftops and then Spinning Bird Kick your way
