The latest – and likely last under its current branding – entry in EA's FIFA series has come in at second place during its first week on sale.
The Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 debuted at No.2 following the title's September 30th launch, while the regular version clocked in at fourth place. There's also the Pre-order Edition, which came in at No.8. All of which is to say that it's another strong start for EA's FIFA franchise. The series is being rebranded as EA Sports FC due to EA not renewing its agreement with FIFA.
First place once again goes to Steam, while 2019's – well, 2020 on Steam – Need for Speed Heat returns to the Steam Top Ten in third place off the back of a free weekend. Cyberpunk 2077 is also riding the wave of renewed interest following the release of the Edgerunners anime on Netflix. The sci-fi RPG title recently surpassed 20 million sales following its 2020 release.
In sixth place is a new title; Bonelab from Stress Level Zero. This physics action title launched on September 29th, ahead of Slime Rancher 2, which has dropped three places from fourth to seventh week-on-week. Pre-orders for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II came in at ninth.
