GOOD News for Stranger Things fans! Video streaming giant Netflix has introduced spatial audio support for Stranger Things to give fans a more immersive experience. The exciting feature is rolling out from today itself and if you’re a Stranger Things fan, you can enjoy it now by using headphones. While the platform already supports 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Netflix Calibrated Mode for a great viewing experience, the spatial audio support will give viewers a cinematic experience at home for users. Not only Stranger Things but the streaming giant has added a fair amount of content that has the new audio experience support. The list includes Stranger Things 4, Red Notice, The Witcher, and more. Netflix will add more shows and series to this list in near future.
Netflix has collaborated with Sennheiser to bring an expansive spatial audio presentation that you can play through stereo speakers or headphones. And the cherry on the cake is that you don’t need a proper surround system to enjoy this feature. The spatial audio “is compatible with all devices, all streaming plans, and does not require surround sound speakers or home theater equipment, says Netflix in its blogpost. The platform added, “Spatial audio will roll out across our catalog beginning today, and you can hear it for yourself by typing “spatial audio” into the search bar and selecting a show or film that supports it in the search results.” However, it’s yet unclear whether the feature is limited to the audience in the US or it’s rolling out globally.
