The comics medium is no stranger to Stephen King, with his works like The Dark Tower, Creepshow, and The Stand all being adapted previously. And while King’s other son Joe Hill has amassed quite the backlog of comics work, this is Owen King’s second foray into the medium following Intro to Alien Invasion, his graphic novel with co-writer Mark Jude Poirier and artist Nancy Ahn.

IDW’s Sleeping Beauties series is adapted as a graphic novel by writer Rio Youers in his comics debut and artist Alison Sampson of Winnebago Graveyard fame. Filled with mystery and chilling horror, in the final book of this two-part series, nearly every woman has fallen ill to the Aurora sickness, caught in a never-ending sleep. One woman, Eve Black, is immune to this illness and claims to hold the cure for the other women of the world. As the citizens of the small town of Dooling clash on theories of how best to handle Eve, factions form and war seems close at hand. But Eve has her own plans: a test with global consequences.
