Shift Up’s Stellar Blade is over two weeks away, but the hype continues to build, especially after the recent demo. Speaking to RULIWEB (as spotted by Genki on Twitter), director Kim Hyung-tae revealed that the team completed the game and demo on the same day. However, the team will release a day one patch with “some updates.”
These will likely include bug fixes for issues spotted during the demo, so stay tuned for patch notes in the coming weeks. Stellar Blade launches on April 26th, exclusively for PS5, retailing for $70. It sees Airborne Squad member Eve arriving on Earth to battle the Naytiba, a species that’s left the planet in ruins. Throughout her journey, she’ll meet other humans, like Adam and Lily, and venture to Xion, the last city.
Shift Up says the main story takes around 25 hours to complete, though finding various collectables (including new outfits and accessories) can extend the playtime. As for post-launch, New Game Plus is coming, and though there won’t be any microtransactions on release, the developer may consider adding them for costumes created in collaboration with other IPs.
In a separate interview Kim said that the Demo and the main game were finished on the same day. However, there will be a day one patch for Stellar Blade with some updates!https://t.co/hqQ0zJzbDt
