Valve has announced the return of its annual summer tradition, the Steam Next Fest, which will once again offer up a huge selection of trials and demos pulled from a wide variety of incoming indie titles.
From Monday, June 13, Steam users will be able to download and check out “hundreds” of demos free of charge. Valve did not release a full list of the available titles, but a short trailer — which you can check out below — references a huge variety of spunky young developers and publishers, all of whom are no doubt hoping that you will find a few minutes to check out their wares.
According to the above video’s description, the Steam Next Fest trailer spotlights (deep breath) Arksync,BROK the InvestiGator, Cult of the Lamb, Daydream Forgotten Sorrow, Exophobia, Foretales, Gestalt Steam Cinder, Glimmer in Mirror, Harmonys Odyssey, King of the Hat, LEGO Bricktales, Misc. A Tiny Tale, Nine Sols, Eyes in the Dark, Fays Factory, and Ghost Song. Of course, these titles make up just a sliver of the demos that will be spotlit during the event.
Steam Next Fest will end on Monday, June 20, so you have a full seven days to check out as many demos as you choose. As this “non-E3” week is already a pretty busy one in regard to live streams, news, and reveals, it might be hard to find space for “hundreds” of releases, but, hopefully, all interested parties will find at least a few new games to add to your Steam wishlist.
