Steam has become a premier distribution platform for PC games, with the service currently hosting thousands of AAA and indie titles for users to browse through. Valve offers frequent updates to the platform's user interface, ensuring a modern experience with quality-of-life improvements such as the recently-added ability to see how much space a game will take up on a PC. Another major draw for Steam is its frequent sales, which allow patient gamers to purchase new titles at a bargain. Sales are held seasonally, meaning gamers can confidently wait to buy games until the next big sale. The Steam 2021 Winter Sale discounted thousands of games, with half-off deals for popular titles like Horizon Zero Dawn and Deathloop.
