Originally considered to be Valve's answer to the Nintendo Switch, it's been touted to be more like a mobile PC, with the ability to install a different operating system and even program games on it. At its core, however, the Steam Deck is a gaming machine, which is pretty much the reason people are buying it. Luckily, there are thousands of titles that are now compatible with the device.
According to a report from GamingOnLinux, it seems as though the Steam Deck can now play more than 4,000 games. At the time of writing, 1,867 have been verified, while 2,140 are considered playable, totaling 4,007 in all. The report also says that 1,600 titles are «unsupported.» However, this doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't compatible with the Deck. It's more likely that they have yet to be fully tested for their compatibility, and more games will no doubt be added to the list as time goes on.
