The Star Wars franchise has received surprisingly few high-profile games since EA earned the rights to the franchise's video games, but there have been some standouts. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the most notable, offering fans an interesting twist on the usual mechanics and stories that the franchise tends to tell. A sequel is on the horizon, and it could be revealed soon, according to recent rumors.
Over on Twitter, reputable leaker Tom Henderson highlighted today's announcement that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is slated to release on April 5, going on to state that a May 4 reveal now seems "incredibly likely." Given the ambiguity in the language, it's unclear whether Henderson has insider information on a reveal, but it does line up with previous rumors that Fallen Order 2 would be revealed before E3 2022, or just the usual summer games festivities now that E3's future is being called into question.

Naturally, May 4 is Star Wars day, largely due to the play on words "May the fourth be with you." It's typically seen as a day to celebrate Star Wars in the eyes of fans, who will frequently watch the movies, replay games, or await new announcements. With Star Wars being the talk of the town on May 4 regardless of anything major going on, it's the perfect time for developer Respawn Entertainment to show off Jedi Fallen Order 2.
Henderson's statement makes sense, too, as it's easily the best time for Respawn to make as big of an impact as it can possibly hope to with its announcement. The first game was well-received, it's unlikely that any other major game announcements will happen, and Star Wars will already be trending. It's a recipe for success all around.
