Star Wars 10 Can Prove Rey's Last Jedi Lesson Was Always Right
Rey's next Star Wars adventure could prove that the lesson she learned in Star Wars: The Last Jedi was correct. In the eighth installment of the Skywalker Saga, Rey spent a lot of time on Ahch-To with Luke Skywalker. In doing so Rey learned not only more about herself but the ways of the old Jedi and the Force at large.
With reports that Lucasfilm is considering a Disney+ series centered around Rey and her rebuilding of the Jedi Order after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, there is now a perfect opportunity to capitalize on what Rey went through in the sequel trilogy. Through the use of one specific lesson that was instilled in her by Luke, Rey can improve upon the Jedi Order of the past in several ways.

In The Last Jedi, Rey encountered a disgruntled Luke Skywalker, who was content to live out the remainder of his days in solitude on Ahch-To, having lost faith in the ways of the Jedi. Luke's first lesson to Rey was about proving that the Force isn't solely owned by the Jedi. Luke had to teach Rey that the Force connects to everything, and binds the entire universe together as he was once taught. In doing so, Luke stated that the Jedi of the past proclaiming ownership of the Force was vanity, something that could be vital for Rey's Jedi Order going forward.
Luke's reasoning for teaching this to Rey, was that the Jedi Order largely failed the galaxy due in part to their rigidly dogmatic views at the time of the prequel era. Over time the Jedi began to put themselves on a pedastal and claimed ownership over the Force, foolishly believing that they had fully driven the Sith to extinction.
