Obi-Wan Kenobi has the potential for many exciting cameos from famous Star Wars characters, and due to its placement in the canon continuity’s timeline, there are original and prequel trilogy-era characters who could appear. Obi-Wan Kenobi will see the long-awaited return of Ewan McGregor as the titular Jedi Master and Hayden Christenson as Darth Vader, but these aren’t the only familiar faces from the Star Wars franchise who can appear. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s premise, setting, and proximity to famous properties outside of the Skywalker Saga, such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, allow for a plethora of Star Wars characters to appear.
Obi-Wan “Ben” Kenobi spends the majority of the 19 years between Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope on Tatooine, watching over a young Luke Skywalker to keep him safe and prepare for the moment when his Jedi training will begin. Although the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order were destroyed by the Empire in Palpatine’s coup, Kenobi and Yoda continue to actively, albeit quietly, work against the Sith and their fascist regime. Luke and Leia are to be the first of a new generation of Jedi to overthrow the Empire when the time is right.

In addition to bringing back Star Wars icons Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series will also feature Bonnie Piesse and Joel Edgerton, reprising their roles as Beru and Owen Lars, and the live-action debuts of the Grand Inquisitor and Fifth Brother from Star Wars Rebels.
