The first images from Star Trek: Picard season 2, episode 4 show Jean-Luc Picard in the Los Angeles of 2024. Star Trek: Picard season 2 kicked off with a bang when it began its run in early March, following on from Star Trek: The Next Generation and the Star Trek: The Next Generation films. The season has, so far, treated audiences to two major cameo appearances from Whoopi Goldberg as the El-Aurian bartender Guinan, and John de Lancie as God-like trickster Q.
Star Trek: Picard season 2 has focussed on alternate universes and time-travel, with Picard’s makeshift crew traveling back to 2024 (almost 400 years before the series’ present day setting) after their current timeline was altered by the apparently malevolent Q. After escaping from the tyrannical Confederation, with the help of the Borg Queen, Picard's team are attempting to find ‘The Watcher,’ who can help them to correct the timeline and save humanity from disaster. In order to find the ‘The Watcher,’ the crew have split up and are traveling around LA in search of any hints or clues that might point them in the right direction.

Now, the new first look images of Star Trek: Picard’s next episode have been released by Paramount+ (via Bleeding Cool). The images focus on Admiral Picard in 21st century-style clothing (albeit with his large combadge), and hint at a major development in the series. While two of the images show Patrick Stewart's Jean-Luc appearing to wander around LA, three of the images reveal that the Admiral has returned to Guinan’s 10 Forward bar on Earth.
