Amidst the action and thrills of many video games, it's sometimes absolutely necessary to take on something a little more wholesome. The likes of Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing can create a pocket of calm that players have absolutely lapped up over the years. That seems to be the case with Spirittea from developer Cheesemaster Games.
Spirittea takes place in a charming little town with one small problem: there are some antsy spirits knocking about. The player gains a spiritual edge after drinking the titular Spirittea, and must help calm the spirits of the town through running a bathhouse and solving some of their problems. All the while, there are the human inhabitants of the town to meet and all sorts of fun to be had.

Played from a top-down perspective and centered on a cute little town full of memorable characters, it's easy to see why Spirittea has been gaining comparisons to Stardew Valley. The game taps into the routine-based gameplay that made ConcernedApe's title so relaxing to play, too, particularly when it comes to running the bathhouse. The player needs to keep the boiler maintained, wash and dry towels, get the spirits' seating arrangements in the baths right, and there's the potential for this to turn into a smooth routine akin to running the farm in Stardew Valley.
That said, Spirittea's preview build does hint at more dynamic bits of gameplay too, such as chasing spirits around the town to speak to them. There's also a two-tiered vision system in Spirittea, where the player can shift into spirit vision to see what spirits are around and get additional interactions.
